  TAI OPEN TAE KWON DO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009

Students from the Wexford schools of Cho's TKD, recently took part in the first TAI all Open International TKD Championships in Dublin. The students did an exceptional job at the event and won an amazing 14 trophies, which consisted of 4 titles. The students took part in individual patterns, sparring, team patterns and came up against some heavy competitors from many different Tae Kwon Do associations. The event was a huge success and the squad look forward to taking part next year.  A special thank you to Instructor Mr John Phillips, who accompanied the young students and not only ensured their safety at the event, but coached the young competitors to victory!

Where Tae Kwon Do is a way of life!

  A.I.M.A.A SCOTLAND NATIONALS 2009

The students made their annual visit to Scotland on the 8th of May for a long weekend of competition, fun and shopping! This is the 3rd time the group have made this journey and one that our schools look forward to every year. The Nationals took place on Sunday the 10th of May and had attracted over 300 competitors from Scotland, Ireland, England and Jersey making it an International event.

The students as usual did an exceptional job at the event, winning many trophies and titles. The squad were headed by their Instructor Mr John Phillips who fantastic in the adult sparring and pattern divisions. Junior squad members are: Dianne Peare, Dean Peare, Lisa Keane, Rita Keane, Sean Keane, Connor Keane, Aaron McGuire, Amy McGuire, Sarah Cuffe, Jenny McGuire, April Keeling, Chris Kehoe, Roisin Walsh, Jason O'Grady, Sinead O'Connor, John Quigley and Jamie O'Connor.

  MUNSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS LIMERICK 2009

Students took part in the Munster Open in the University of Limerick recently. The small squad who where accompanied by Mrs Linda Phillips did fantastic in this event and won plenty of trophies and titles.  Mr and Mrs Phillips are very proud of the students achievements and look forward to the next event.

  A.I.M.A.A TRADITONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009

Students from Wexford took part in the prestigious Traditional Championships which i held annually by Master John Darcy, who is the European Director. This is a fantastic competition that shows off the traditional elements of Tae Kwon Do and the A.I.M.A.A Curriculum. Students from all over Ireland attended this event along with A.I.M.A.A Scotland who attend each year. 

  A.I.M.A.A LEINSTER CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009

The Leinster Open was run by Mr Gerry Long and Mr James Farrell of AIMAA in Dublin. The event attracted hundreds of people to it and was fantastic to watch and compete in. The students from Wexford as usual came away with a massive haul of trophies, much to the delight of Instructors Mr & Mrs Phillps.
